UK Sharks Travel Councellor
« on: November 27, 2011, 04:43:28 AM »
With over 31 years in the travel business (that’s longer than Richard Branson!), with small independent travel companies to blue chip multi-national travel organisations, I feel I am well placed to offer you a first class travel service.

From the short UK break to the bespoke around-the-world itinerary, I am sure I can help. Why spend your valuable time "trawling" the net on an evening or weekend or spending hours in travel agencies trying to find that perfect holiday or business trip? One call to me and I will take all the stress and "hassle" out of arranging your next flight or voyage.

When other travel companies are closed, I am raring to go! So please feel free to contact me anytime, evenings and weekends too.

The clue is in my title. "Personal" is exactly what service you will receive. It will be me you deal with from start to finish (apart from when I am on my own "hols" of course!).

In these uncertain times, it really is so important to ensure your hard earned money is safe. Any travel arrangements made by me are covered by the Travel Counsellors trust. No "if's or but's", your money is 100% covered. Not only is your money covered, however I will ensure you really do receive the very best value for money travel service.

I am so excited to be working with the UK Sharks and I sincerely hope that I will build trust and long lasting relationships with many members of the UK Sharks forum in the future. Please remember to mention you are a member of the UK Sharks when you call for your exclusive deals and offers.

Limit poker is a science, but no-limit is an art.  In limit you are shooting at a target.  In no-limit, the target comes alive and shoots back at you.

Hi All,

Found this holiday today. East Midlands - Lanzarote, 6 nights self catering, departing East Midlands, 1 bedroom apartment, based on 4 sharing, total cost £106.00 per person. Price includes, return flights, 15kg baggage allowance, private taxi transfers. Cost for 2 people sharing is £149.00 per person.

If you prefer "All Inclusive" I have a hotel in Lanzarote, on the same flights (out 30 April return 06 May 2012 East Midlands) for £306.00 per person.

Remember, all holidays are subject to availability and price changes, therefore cannot be guaranteed until payments made and reservations confirmed.

This won't be here for long............

Kind Regards

Malcolm

Hi Malcolm, would it be possible for you to have a word with the "powers that be",so that maybe, just a few of us "oldies" may be able to take a well earned break nearer to home?(Weather permitting of course),next month,i.e..in
May:) 8-) :Numbers of "party",to be confirmed. (I never take heed of so called long range weather forecasts, because "they" are invariably wrong, unless it's the "shipping..........." whatever it's called, for when I am "sailing or flying" over those waters, oceans etc);metaphorically speaking, then I listen.  ;) but then lots of us (namely U.K. Shark veterans, sorry Frank, who do not mind inclement weather, provided that,(here are some clues) the surroundings are warm, not hot, or cold, just right, with a friendly and inviting atmosphere     ::)      good food, especially a Full English breakfast for the hungrier ones amongst us and with plenty to drink at a low cost. Water,Tea and Strong Coffee to be FREE,alcohol Cheap, but then you get what you pay for!
So an "All Inclusive"comes to mind.  :)

No offence to anyone, but having experienced several inclusive deals in many locations, during the past 12 years, believe me, you will end up paying for "something", one way or another.
Firstly the airports,!!!!, who knows what they are "up to" during any 24 hr.period,I'm talking global here, and then, there's the  taxis/coaches/minibuses or so called transfers as that word covers all, incl.camels and  tuk tuks?sp?Boats that leak, volkswagon beetles that look like they have just come off  some "drag car" race and the driver makes the sign of the cross and mutters a prayer for his own sake, not yours.... Mexico city,my first holiday with my beloved, got the photos to show.Oh! I could tell you some tales.  If I survive long enough. :P

Watch "Idiot Abroad" if you haven't already,it's a definite eye opener and as well as being hilarious in parts,it's also interesting to hear the dialogue coming from Ricky Gervais as well as the victim, poor Karl Pilkington, who seems so naive, yet funnily enough, quite wise at times. There are no flies on him, until there are,or were they ants, cos. they do bite, trust me. Some episodes are better than others, depending on your "sense of humour"! So,where was I up to?ah yes,Travelling.

When you eventually do reach your destination,Wi-fi connections, room safes,sun-loungers poolside,(they're 'avin a larf)not to mention the ones on the beach with enticing parasols, gazebos and waiters carrying cocktails(strange word)filled with ice and more parasols, the list is endless and when you include the "watersports",well you do the maths. So beware or your wallet could be bare,or even  nicked in some places(plenty of signs and police presence to hopefully alert you),but then that may be a good thing, because then you would have to cancel all of your credit/debit cards,(nightmare!) if you carry them, thereby saving you money.   Which we all love to do as well as gamble against all odds, sometimes.   &*$^ Under no circumstances ever, "carry"your passport with you,it is of great value to yourself and to others, unless it is essential that you do so.

I am sure that many of you will already know all this,so it is for travellers with less experience, that I am taking the time to write this, to hopefully minimise any foreseeable difficulties that may be waiting to pounce.
Most travel brochures that I have seen or "trawled",(very apt. Malcolm @U.K. Sharks.com.) from well known established companies, both on the High St.and especially On-Line, do point out some of the inevitable pitfalls,so as to gain trust(in my humble opinion),but as we may be aware of these sales tactics(hopefully, otherwise we could find ourselves"lost"let alone confused)during and after staring, browsing, sifting,at the many "hypnotising scenes"of sunshine and deep blue skies which cover the pages,of how exhausting that can be and so who really wants to spend hours reading the small print and everything else required to arrange your "dream holiday"?
Well I don't for one,I just want to get there,to be there and enjoy myself. Also,I have come to realise, that vacations are what we all need from time to time, not "desire",which dreams are made of and so they are, as they say, what we make of i.e. create,in order to enjoy life more fully......
If the planning is left to one person and that person is you the reader and you're say a party of four, then woe betide any hiccups,or delays or even cockroaches, spiders and God knows whatever/whoever else, then you will most likely be the first to be blamed, because that unfortunately is human nature(in my experience).

OOOps lost my train of thought, yet again,so going back to my request Malcolm, above all else and of the utmost importance,we need to be able to come away ie. Leave, with more money than we started with and therefore will definitely return on numerous occasions in the future.

I will watch this space fervently for new updates and ideas,as I am sure many of our members will too,who could then perhaps contribute in one way or another,by way of suggestions or preferences(keep it clean please),or indeed, lots of "feedback"....positive or not so positive as we have done so up to now.

I am sure that you will have guessed by now as to the main criteria required for this May break/event....................Yes a Casino, with bedrooms if possible and if not, then very close by.

Citynut, based in Blackpool, otherwise known as Moyra,is a very kind, helpful soul and should we need her services then we only have to ask (Moyra's words)......Of course she could say no,depending on the question(s),but she is able and willing.(i.e.to assist). Of "sound mind" I shall leave for a future post.Lol.

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who actively contribute to this Forum on a regular basis,or have done so in the past,.....   too many members to mention,so a big Thankyou to all.

Last, but not least,a big,big thankyou to Malcolm, who has at last boarded our ship, full steam ahead and it is not, thank goodness called the Titanic. He may be made to "walk the plank"a few times without a trial,so lets all be fair and not expect the impossible,he is certainly very experienced as well as professional in this field and our connection with him can save us all a lot of time and money. So Happy Hunting. :D 8-)
P.S.I should add that hopefully Malcolm too will benefit from this arrangement during many moons to come. x
